The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the Declaration of Helsinki. Authors must obtain written informed consent from all participants, or their legally authorized representatives, before conducting research involving human subjects or publishing identifiable personal information.
Authors must ensure that:
Written informed consent has been obtained where required.
Participants are informed about the purpose of the research.
Consent for publication has been obtained for identifiable information or images.
Consent records are retained and provided if requested.
The data and information of individuals, including information obtained through a doctor–patient relationship, must be handled with the highest levels of confidence and discretion. Personal identifiers should not be disclosed unless essential for scientific purposes and explicit written consent has been obtained.
Authors should ensure that:
Participant privacy and confidentiality are protected.
Personal identifiers are removed whenever possible.
Identifiable information is published only with written consent.
The Editorial Office may request evidence of informed consent during the editorial or peer-review process. Manuscripts that fail to comply with the journal's informed consent requirements or ethical standards may be rejected in accordance with the recommendations of COPE and ICMJE.
