Corrections

The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. When errors are identified after publication that do not affect the overall validity of the research, the journal may publish a Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum). All corrections are clearly linked to the original article to ensure transparency.

Corrections may be issued for:

  • Errors in author names or affiliations.

  • Errors in figures, tables, or references.

  • Minor factual or typographical mistakes.

  • Other errors that do not affect the study's conclusions.

Retractions

A published article may be retracted when there is clear evidence that its findings are unreliable due to research misconduct, major errors, or serious ethical violations. Retractions are handled in accordance with the recommendations of COPE and ICMJE.

Retraction may be considered in cases of:

  • Plagiarism or duplicate publication.

  • Data fabrication or falsification.

  • Image manipulation.

  • Unethical research practices.

  • Major errors affecting the validity of the findings.

Editorial Responsibility

The Editorial Office investigates all requests for corrections and retractions fairly and transparently. Where necessary, the journal may also issue an Expression of Concern while an investigation is underway. Appropriate editorial action will be taken to maintain the accuracy, integrity, and credibility of the published scientific record.
