Institutional and national animal welfare guidelines are followed.
Animal suffering is minimized.
The Editorial Office may request ethical approval documents during the editorial or peer-review process. Manuscripts that fail to comply with the recommendations of COPE and ICMJE, or do not meet accepted ethical standards for human or animal research, may be rejected at any stage of the publication process.
