INTRODUCTION

Internet Technologies is nothing but effective usage of computers to accumulate, repossess, convey, and maneuver data or information. Internet Technologies is naturally used within the framework of business activities as contrasting to personal or amusement technologies. It is considered to be a detachment of information and communication technology. In general Internet Technology System is a communication system, more exclusively speaking, a computer system together with all hardware, software and peripheral utensils which are maneuver by a limited group of users.

Bagavathi A (2023). The aim of the current study is to introduce readers with new technologies applied to Internet of Things (IoT) that can help libraries to improve their services and increase users' satisfaction. This study also tries to present about the possible areas of implementing the concept of IoT in academic libraries and user satisfaction on the IoT based library services and resources. Online survey from selected Educational Institutions was conducted and Data collected from a survey of a sample of 183 library users to analyse the importance and satisfaction of IoT based services and resources. Possible areas for implementing IoT in libraries - improve access to the library and its resources, collection management, recommendation service, location-based service, appliances management, usage statistics, and information literacy. The IoT technology will notify and fulfils the user-related queries through on internet i.e., self-check-in, self-check-out, overdue reminders, online fine payment, misplaced books on shelves, etc. The study observed that the maximum number of respondents used WhatsApp and Facebook respectively.

Surendra Babu, Sarada, Ramaiah (2010). The introduction of digital information resources on Internet has revolutionized the academic world. The Internet is paving way for a great leap in the field of higher education and research. This paper is an attempt to investigate the use of Internet resources by the academic community of the Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati. For this purpose a survey was carried out using questionnaire tool. The results show that users from all branches of science are making use of Internet resources better than social sciences and humanities. Providing training to its users at the beginning of each semester will improve its use and reduce the problems faced by the library users. The paper highlighted the various problems and an issue involved in handling digital library and has given suggestions to improve the library services to meet the demands of the users.
